It took a great struggle to achieve British Universal Suffrage - votes for all. It may take a great struggle to achieve British Universal Inheritance - capital for all. Or it may happen very quickly if we can catch the tide of political change. Baby Bonds are a first step, although deeply flawed by New Labour's taboo on redistribution of inherited wealth and the wider spread of ownership of capital.  However, they can be incorporated into the British Universal Inheritance framework. We hope by our activities in this country to encourage national Universal Inheritance Campaigns in other open capitalist democracies. These will reinforce each other and exchange information about the progress in each country towards the introduction of Universal Inheritance.

Please encourage your MP, opinion formers, supporters and others to look at this site. We have advised all MPs by email of this web site. If you support a political party, please try to persuade your local association to submit to its party's annual assembly a resolution to consider the re-distribution of inherited wealth and to call for the introduction of British Universal Inheritance. British Universal Inheritance will be a vote winner once it is widely understood. It will enable the political parties that adopt it to call for greater equality of opportunity and to mean it. Those inheriting from the previous generation will, with part of their inheritance in a stable society, help every citizen to start off with a decent minimum inheritance of capital by the age of 25. Universal Inheritance is a new idea - an additional practical policy instrument - compatible with the philosophy of any party that authentically and genuinely wants to see more equality of opportunity and wants to Make Poverty History, nationally and internationally. It is worthy of your support.

To ensure that these societies can evolve and survive in a new age in the centuries to come, rather than eventually collapsing into anarchy or authoritarian rule under the weight of increasing inequality, social exclusion and alienation, it is time to start introducing Universal Inheritance - capital for all."(1)
